A-6 Wednesday, October 28, 2020 The Press-Dispatch Vote for change you can count on CATHY MCFARLAND County Council At-Large Paid for by candidate Paid for by Marta Query Hello, fellow Pike County voters! I have been your Pike County Treasurer for the last eight years and my terms will come to a close in December. Susan Brittain has been my deputy for the last three years and is certainly qualified to be my successor. Susan is smart, friendly, experienced, eager to learn, easy to work with, reliable and would need very little training to make the transition from deputy to elected official. Please, vote for Susan Brittain as your new Pike County Treasurer! ank you for your support! Marta Query VOTE Jim Johns for School Board Educating our children is one of life's greatest challeng- es. Prepping them for life after high school, whether seeking employment or further education, is sometimes an unappreciated task. It requires individuals with a call- ing and the support of the whole county. I am a fiscal conservative. When elected, I will support all educational programs that are financially sound and have clear goals and measurable objectives. I will continue my fifteen years of working with JAM Club to instill proper behavior and learning skills in an early grade classroom setting. I will support sports programs, as they are an extension of the classroom and, if properly coached, create an op- portunity for teaching behavior, teamwork, discipline, goal setting and how to graciously win and lose. I will support the teaching of our history in its true sense. I WILL NOT support the rewriting of our history such as the effort by The New York Times Magazine's 1619 Project, which has been pushed into our schools and uni- versities. Your vote will be appreciated. Paid for by Candidate. JIM JOHNS FOR SCHOOL BOARD.
