competent and very capable replacement in the event Biden is no longer able to serve as President. I have complete faith in the abili es of these fine Americans to lead us. I encourage you to vote for Biden/Har- ris and return America to the people for whom our Founding Fathers were so adamantly advoca ng for in our Cons tu on, that has lived vibrantly since our na on's birth and has been mocked and denigrated by the current occupant. What does Joe Biden stand for? What does he pro- pose to breathe life into our na on and rejuvenate it once again? The following are some policy posi ons taken from JoeBiden.com, with more informa on available on the website as well for each posi on statement. Covid-19 Leadership Amid a growing public health crisis, the country is looking for leadership, stability, and trusted experi- ence — and that's Vice President Joe Biden. Biden knows how to mount an effec ve crisis response and elevate the voices of scien sts, public health experts, and first responders because he has done it before. Equality for People With Disabili es Joe Biden believes that everyone should be treated with dignity and have a fair shot at ge ng ahead. This year, on July 26, we will mark the 30th anniver- sary of the Americans with Disabili es Act (ADA). Thanks to the leadership of people with disabili es, disability advocates, and their allies, we have made progress towards the goals of this law—"equality of opportunity, full par cipa on, independent living, and economic self-sufficiency" for people with dis- abili es. But, there is much more work to do to en- sure that all people with disabili es can par cipate fully in our communi es and enjoy the same kinds of choices and opportuni es that many Americans take for granted. Educa on Beyond High School Biden is proposing a bold plan for educa on and training beyond high school that will give hard-work- ing Americans the chance to join or maintain their place in the middle class, regardless of their parents' income or the color of their skin. President Biden will: * Invest in community colleges and training to improve student success and grow a stronger, more prosperous, and more inclusive middle class. * Strengthen college as the reliable pathway to the middle class, not an investment that provides lim- ited returns and leaves graduates with mountains of debt they can't afford. * Support colleges and universi es that play unique and vital roles in their communi es, including His- torically Black Colleges and Universi es and Minori- ty-Serving Ins tu ons. Securing Our Values As An Immigrant Na on As president, Biden will forcefully pursue policies that safeguard our security, provide a fair and just system that helps to grow and enhance our economy, and secure our cherished values. He will: * Take urgent ac on to undo Trump's damage and reclaim America's values * Modernize America's immigra on system Welcome immigrants in our communi es * Reassert America's commitment to asylum-seek- ers and refugees * Tackle the root causes of irregular migra on * Implement effec ve border screening Providing Affordable Healthcare Biden has commi ed to con nuing the legacy of Obamacare and strengthening it by giving Ameri- cans a new choice, a public health insurance op on like Medicare, increasing the value of tax credits to lower premiums and extend coverage to more work- ing Americans, expanding coverage to low-income Americans, among many other proposals that can be found at JoeBiden.com. LGBTQ Equality Joe Biden believes that every human being should be treated with respect and dignity and be able to live without fear no ma er who they are or who they love. During the Obama-Biden Administra on, the United States made historic strides toward LGBTQ+ equality—from the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" to Biden's historic declara on in support of marriage equality on Meet the Press in 2012 to the unprec- edented advancement of protec ons for LGBTQ+ Americans at the federal level.
