Women's Cancer Support Group – The Lange- Fuhs Cancer Center at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center offers a support group for women who have had cancer of any type or are currently undergoing can- cer treatment. Craig selected as Right to Life Memorial scholarship winner Daviess County Right to Life has announced that Colin Craig, a senior at Pike Central High School, is the winner of the 2020 Donna Gentry Scholarship. Craig was selected from the appli- cations received from Wash- ington Catholic, North Da- viess, Barr-Reeve and Pike Central High School se- niors. He is the son of Jon and Cassi Craig, of Pe- tersburg, and plans to en- ter Western Kentucky Uni- versity in the fall to study Broadcasting and Meteo- rology. Each applicant was to write a 500 -word essay on "What is happening to America because of Abor- tion" and submit their grade transcripts, along with what they have done to advocate a person's Right to Life. This scholarship was named af- ter Donna Gentry, a long- time advocate for the Right to Life in Daviess County. This scholarship was open to seniors in Daviess and Pike counties. Lashbrook graduates from Brescia Univ. Brescia University awarded de- grees on May 2, 2020, during a vir- tual commencement ceremony. Ha- ven LeeAnn Lashbrook, of Velpen, graduated with a B.S. in Commu- nication Sciences and Disorders. 5K Life Walk set for June 27 The Pregnancy Care Center of Washington will be having a 5K Life walk on Saturday, June 27. The walk begins at 9 a.m., with registration opening at 8:15 a.m. The walk starts and ends at the East- side Park Kiwanis Cabin in Washing- ton. Cost to benefit the center is $20 per adult and $10 for children 12 and under.
