See additional obituaries on page C-7 EUGENE FR ANDSEN Eugene Frandsen, 52, of Petersburg, passed away March 24, 2020. He was born December 19, 1967, in Washington, to Denzil and Diana (Bartley) Frandsen. He is survived by his parents, Denzil and Diana Frandsen; brother, John (April) Frandsen; sister, Glo- ria Keith; two nephews; and a niece. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Harris Funeral Home is en- trusted with his care. Obituaries Aldridge escapes injury in Friday crash Brooklyn Aldridge, 21, of 4740 N. SR 257, Otwell, was uninjured in the Friday morning crash of a 2005 Ford Mustang on CR 825 E., near CR 175 N., in Jefferson Township. Pike County Sheriff Depu- ty Brad Jenkins reported that Aldridge was traveling north on CR 825 E. and got over too far. He ran off the right side, then overcorrected, going across the road and back over, sliding into a utility pole, ac- cording to the report. Deputy Jenkins said the asphalt road was wet and the weather conditions were cloudy. He reported crash damage to the Mustang and the Win Energy utility pole to be between $10,000 and $25,000. Playgrounds closed due to COVID-19 The playgrounds at Hornady Park and Prides Creek are closed due to the Coronavirus pandemic. It is believed to live up to 14 days on surfaces. Commissioners discuss Stay at Home order Pike County Commissioners Ryan Coleman, Mark Flint and Jeff Nelson discuss how to best comply with Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb's Stay at Home Executive Order issued on Monday.
