Boost, Sr., 85, of Oakland City, entered rest on Saturday March 21, 2020, at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville. He was born on Oct. 1, 1934, in Oakland City to Ot- to and Rella (Butts) Boost. He was a retired coal min- er from Amax Coal Compa- ny, Keensburg Mine. He was a member of U.M.W.A. and a 50 -year member of the Oak- land City Masonic Lodge # 467. He attended Trinity United Methodist Church. He is survived by his daughters, Kim (Greg) Brace, of Evansville, and Su- san (Kevin) Voegel, of Oak- land City; brother, Charles L. ( Judy) Boost, of Rock Hill, S.C.; special friend, Shirley Edrington, of Ar- thur; grandchildren: Chris- tina Boost and Danielle Boost, of Evansville, Kaelin (Brittany) Boost, of Gunter, Texas, and Michelle (Dar- en) Rhodes, of Evansville; six great-grandchildren; and special extended fam- ily, Sharlet (Ron) Sills and Brenda (Gilbert) Hayes. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sharon Boost, in 2003; and a son, George Boost, Jr., in 1996. Due to the current cir- cumstances, private grave- side services and burial will take place at Montgomery Cemetery, with Rev. Clint Woolsey officiating. She was born September 18, 1940, to Lloyd and Mar- garet (Padgett) DeJarnett in Oakland City. She married her late hus- band, George William Car- roll, on September 20, 1958. She is survived by her sons, Kevin (Cindy) Car- roll and Gregory (Di- anne) Carroll; grandchil- dren, Michael, David and Joseph (Kassie) Carroll; great-grandchildren, Kyn- leigh, Jersen and Hendrix Carroll; brother, Elden (Fran) DeJarnett, Sr.; sis- ter, Phyllis Stephens; and her "BFF," Connie Willis. JUDITH "JUDY" DOR AN BOGER Judith "Judy" Doran Bo- ger, 71, passed away on Mon- day, March 23, 2020, at Gold- en Living Center in Peters- burg. She was born March 28, 1948, in Washington to Ken- neth and Betty (Stafford) McClellan. She graduated from Washington High School in 1966. She married Terry Boger on February 12, 1967. She worked at Wal-Mart as a sales clerk. She loved the outdoors, and liked to hunt and fish. She is survived by her hus- band, Terry; son, Jeff (Amie) Boger, of Petersburg; broth- er, Dennis "Craig" (Lori) McClellan, of Washington; sister, Kay Howell, of Wash- ington; two grandchildren; and one step-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Keith McClellan. There will be a private fu- neral service at Ed Lee Mor- tuary North Chapel. NORMA JEAN THOMAS Norma Jean Thomas, 93, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2020, at Emerald Place in Washington. She was born October 30, 1926, in Pike County to Roger and Avanell ( Welton) Smith. She worked as a bank tell- er at Pike County Bank for 20 years. She was a mem- ber of First United Meth- odist Church in Petersburg and a 50 -plus-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She previously owned and operated Thomas Clean- ers in Petersburg with her husband of 65 years, Bill Thomas, who preceded her in death on August 15, 2011. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Brad O'Neill, of Petersburg. A private burial will be held at a later date. HOMES .com No matter how you see it MARY C. ENGLEMAN Mary C. Engleman, 92, of Kokomo, died on Sunday, March 22, 2020, at Water- ford Place in Kokomo. She was born on Febru- ary 13, 1928, in Logan Town- ship, Pike County, to Ellet and Nannie ( Williams) Dil- ley. She had previously lived in Petersburg, Tipton and then Kokomo. She married Robert Lee Engleman on June 16, 1945. She was an exceptional homemaker and cook. She had formerly worked as a bookkeeper at JC Penney in Tipton. She attended Pe- tersburg High School and was a member of the West Street Christian Church. She was a member of "The Delts" Sorority and Eastern Star, both in Petersburg. She had worked for 35 years as an Avon Representative. Survivors include two daughters, Dianne K. En- gleman (Robert) Murer, of Danville, and Cheryl Lynn Engleman (Steve) Cur- rens, of Kokomo; one broth- er, Paul Dilley, of Sebring, Fla.; and two grandsons and their families, Dr. Bri- an ( Jenni) Murer and chil- dren, Jack and Annie, and Brandon (Samantha) Mur- er and their son, Matteo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rob- ert, on November 25, 2006; and two brothers and four sisters, Ellone Bartlowe, Francis Minnis, Victor Dil- ley, Irma Lowe, Betty Smith and Don Dilley. LINDA LOU ROPP Linda Lou Ropp, 74, of Petersburg, passed away March 22, 2020, at her home with family. She was born September 28, 1945, in Daviess Coun- ty, to William "Bill" and Von- nie Jean Holland. She mar- ried her husband, M. Frank Ropp, on July 29, 1967. She worked as a beau- tician for many years and was employed at Walmart from 1992 to 2011. She was a member of the An- tioch Christian Church in Washington. She loved her church, loved to watch col- lege basketball and football, the NFL, and NASCAR. She loved her yard and her flow- ers. She especially loved her special fur baby. She is survived by her husband, M. Frank Ropp; daughter, Amy Lynn Ropp; mother, Vonnie Holland; brothers, William Eugene "Butch" Holland and Milton Earl Holland; sister, Patrica Ann Weathers; and several great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, William "Bill" Holland. Private services have been scheduled. She was born April 29, 1945, in Evansville to Jack and Helen (Payton) Thomp- son. She worked as a director at Senior and Family Ser- vices. Besides her family, her greatest passion was the many years that she volun- teered in the Prison Minis- try. She loved the Lord with all her heart and glorified Him in all she did. She is survived by her sons, Ron ( Jamie) Wil- son and Bobby (Andrea) Jeanette; daughter, Cindy (Pete) Shirley; stepdaugh- ter, Mary Jo (Terry) Work- man; grandchildren, Ash- ley Fuhs, John Wilson, Anashia Sutt, Alyssa Hel- dt, Lance Shirley, Paige Byrer, Ben Shirley, Alex- ander Jeanette, Hannah Jeanette, Shawn Workman and Nathaniel Workman; great-grandchildren, Jack- son, Mason, Owen and An- nistyn Fuhs, Maverick Wil- son, Marlee Jo Byrer, Daisy, Madeline, June, Grace and Terry Workman; and sib- lings, Teresa Williams, Jac- quenette Shinkle and Jim- my Thompson.
