Legacy Scholarship documentation
Attach the following documents to your application:
1. Documentation of the acceptance to the college/university/school you will attend.
2. Name of the teacher or administrator (and his/her school) who will submit a letter of recommendation.
( To be mailed in separately by the recommender)
3. Letter from the publisher of newspaper/contractor verifying employment, contract information and
current job description of the parent/grandparent(s).
4. Personal statement (minimum 600 words; maximum 1500 words) written by the student detailing why
he/she should receive this award.
Students might want to include information on the courses they have completed, particularly those that apply
to their future plans; awards they have received; extracurricular activities; jobs they have held; difficulties they
have overcome; career plans — perhaps describe their "dream job."
