The senior guard returned for her last year as a Lady Charger as the top three-point shoot- er and All-PAC honorable mention after averaging 10 points a game in the 2018 - 19 season. Vaughn was one of three seniors and eight returners on this year's La- dy Charger team that in- cluded seniors Jayln Nelson and Jenna Horrall. Togeth- er, the girls accounted for three Pocket Athletic Con- ference wins and an 8 -14 sea- son record. Lady Charger head coach Kyle McCutchan comment- ed, "I am glad Lauren was recognized by the coaches from the conference to be se- lected for the team. Lauren is a hard-working player who is the last player to leave the gym each night and a terrif- ic young lady. I am very hap- py her hard work and dedi- cation paid off by being se- lected to the team." Gibson Southern, Heri- tage Hills, Tecumseh and Forest Park dominated the selections, posting 7-0, 7-1, 6 -2 and 5 -3 records respec- tively. Pike Central was ranked fifth overall in the conference with a 3-5 record and 8 -14 season. Gibson Southern won 100 All-Sport points for winning the conference with a 7-0 re- cord. The Lady Titans bet- tered Heritage Hills by handing them their only loss for a 7-1 conference re- cord. North Posey did not play the Lady Titans due to school closure with no time for a make-up date. Heri- tage Hills earned 85 points with a 7-1 conference and a 16 -6 season record. The Te- cumseh Lady Braves were 6 -2 with a 16 -5 record and 70 points. The Forest Park Lady Rangers finished 5 -3 in the conference and 17-7 with 60 points. Southridge tied with Pike Central with 45 All-Sports points each, followed by North Posey (2-5, 5 -15, 25 points), South Spencer (2- 6, 4-18, 25 points) and Tell City (0 -8, 2-21, 10 points). The Lady Titans fea- tured three All-Confer- ence selections in Mere- dith Raley, Kamryn Miller and Maci Foster. Rebekah Gordon and Hadley Lytton were named from Heritage Hills, and Avery Neff was named honorable mention. Kaybree Oxley and Chloe Holder won for Tecum- seh, and Forest Park's Ma- cie Zink and Faith Zazzetti were named All-Confer- ence, with Ali Welp making honorable mention. Mayah Montgomery was All-Con- ference for Southridge and Kennedy Nalley was named honorable mention. North Posey's Haley Wilson and Tell City's Ava Hilgenhold won All-Conference, and Al- ex Soermer and Trinity Brit- ton earned honorable men- tion for South Spencer. SPORTS BRIEF Little League sign-ups Petersburg Little League sign-ups are now under- way. Sign-up dates are Friday, Feb. 21, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.; Feb. 28, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.; and Friday, March 6, at the school carnival. The cost is $45 per player or up to $100 per family. Opening day is April 25 and the season runs for six weeks.
