She was born February 5, 1948, to Richard and Alene (Harker) Taber. She married her husband, Edward "Butch" Gray, on August 8, 1970. She drove a bus for years for the Pike County School Corp. and retired as a rural mail car- rier from the Dale Post Of- fice. She was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ, where she was a member, and devoted much of her time to the Chris- tian Education Team, Trin- ity Women's Guild and the Church Consul. She was in- volved yearly with the Relay for Life and was also a mem- ber of the women's exercise group at the Zone Fitness Center. She is survived by her husband, Edward Gray, of Winslow; son, Butch ( Jamie) Gray, of Winslow; daughter, Dawn Davis, of Oakland City; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Services were at 1 p.m. EST on Monday, Dec. 2, 2019, at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, with Pastor Jane Hillman offici- ating. Burial followed at Iva Cemetery. Visitation was from 11 a.m. EST until service time on Monday at the funeral home. Harris Funeral Home was entrusted with her care. JER ALDINE "JERRY" MYERS Jeraldine "Jerry" Myers, 85, formerly of Otwell, died Saturday, November 30, 2019, at Memorial Hospital in Jasper. She was born in Iva on Au- gust 22, 1934, to Verner and Susan (Powell) Gray. She married V. Wayne "Gravy" Myers on October 20, 1952. She worked as a homemaker and attend- ed Petersburg Nazarene Church. She is survived by her hus- band, Gravy; three daugh- ters, Janice (Rex) Green, of Ellenton, Fla., Wanda (Rog- er) Craig, of Jacksonville, Fla., and Donna (Dean) Harris, of Otwell; son, Ken- ny Wayne (Kathy) Myers, of Otwell; brothers, Jim (Mary) Gray, Bill (Martha) Gray, Bob (Rose) Gray, and John (Mary) Gray; sisters, Kathleen (Fred) Hanebutt and Martha Kays; 12 grand- children; 17 great-grandchil- dren; and one great-great- grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, David Scotty My- ers; and a sister, Mary Jane Ulmet. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Decem- ber 7, 2019, at Harris Funer- al Home in Petersburg, with Pastor Clark Gray officiat- ing. Burial will follow at Mc- Clure Cemetery in Algiers. Visitation will be from 4- 8 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. LONNIE D. HILSMEYER Lonnie D. Hilsmeyer, 71, of Stendal, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2019, at Eastgate Manor in Washington. He was born August 28, 1948, in Huntingburg, to Rol- lo Henry and Ruby C. ( Weit- kamp) Hilsmeyer. He retired from Holland Dairy; enjoyed fishing and hunting; and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He is survived by one son, Caleb Hilsmeyer, of Stendal; one sister, Shirley Barrett, of Holland; two brothers, Lar- ry Hilsmeyer, of Hunting- burg and Tim Hilsmeyer, of Stendal; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. EST, Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg, with Rev- erends Keith Chanley and Gene Marcum officiating. Burial will follow at Zoar Cemetery in Zoar. Military graveside rites will be con- ducted by the Holland Amer- ican Legion Post #343 Me- morial Detail and Army Mil- itary Funeral Honors Detail. Skelton, 61, of Huntingburg, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2019, at her home. She was born June 10, 1958, in Evansville, to Charles and Opal (Price) Todd. She married George Skel- ton on May 1, 1982. She re- tired from Executive Fur- niture/OFS, where she worked as a finish sprayer and repaired laminates. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, George Skelton, of Huntingburg; two sons, Jason (Heather) Skelton, of Birdseye, and Jeremy Skelton, of Spur- geon; one daughter, ReneƩ Skelton, of Chicago, Ill.; one sister, Sandy Leinenbach, of Evansville; 11 grandchil- dren; and three great-grand- children. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Bobby Todd and Monty Todd; and one sister, Debbie Sparks. Graveside services were at 2 p.m. EST, Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at Fair- mount Cemetery in Hunt- ingburg. Nass & Son Funer- al Home in Huntingburg was entrusted with the burial ar- rangements.
