Maybe it's time to remove the pen- guin-shaped ice packs and the camel-shaped heating pads and all the other just- in-case-of-a-slight-discom- fort animal-shaped supplies. Perhaps I should no longer calculate the number of days we'll be gone and pack triple the number of shirts or, dare I say, omit the extra tooth- brushes. Who knows? It may even be time to ask Santa for a normal-sized suitcase. Like Katiedid Langrock on Facebook, at http://www. mor. I thought the leaves were all on the ground but the other day, the wind blew more off the trees and the mowers will be running to mulch them up or the rakes will be used. I have seen the adults raking their yards but, hey kids, did you know that there is fun with leaves? By raking up all the leaves in a big pile, you can run and jump into them and have fun as you rake them into a pile again and jump in- to them again. Hey parents, this is a great time to have fun with your child by showing them how you did this when you were their age. Many of us stars think that Thanksgiving day is a special holiday that should be celebrated before Christ- mas and what we see al- ready is street decorations, yards with decorations, but they are all decorations for Christmas and it makes us a little sad that they couldn't wait until after Thanksgiv- ing day to light them all up or even put them up. The Highway 57 skel- etons are sitting in lawn- chairs with sticks over a bonfire roasting marsh- mallows. It was great to see Kyana again and Granny Mid and her had fun playing 500 rummy, Granny's favorite card game. Granny Mid is here for another week and we are glad she got to see her grandchildren. Deer season is in and we love the deer meat, so this year, we can enjoy the tasty, fall apart meat with carrots and potatoes, from an 8 -15 point buck. So, congrats to the hunters and we really love to enjoy this tasty meal as a change of meat. And to the other stars, thanks for the deer sausage, this will be great at New Year's Eve on crackers. Misty and Tripp are so happy to have a treat and Misty had her treat laying outside her house, as she slept. Then the next day, she had it with her all day long, so I guess she really loved it. Terri Ann has been here in Winslow since our mom has been here and she has been recuperating af- ter her two eyes have been worked on. She has waited the weeks to heal her eyes and now her eye doctor will tell her what she will have to do next. She hopes to drive again but Ted has taken her everywhere she needed to go. She is also hoping to see a whole lot better since she was far-sighted and al- so near-sighted, but in dif- ferent eyes. Did you hear that Lincoln and Samantha Poehlein has a new addition to their fami- ly that answers to the name of Oaklee Joe, she was born on October 30, 2019. Con- gratulations and welcome Oaklee Joe to our Poehlein family. As the lights dim on this week, keep an eye on family and friends, slow down and see all the wonders around you, keep your eyes open for deer that run in front of you on the roads, give thanks for all your blessings this year. As always, smile, wave and say hi to everyone you see this week.
