It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is right around the corner, with all those December holiday fes- vi es following close behind. The year sure has blown by fast. I am very excited about the No- vember feature interview. It is with Sophie White, a transgender female, making her way through her complicated transi on pro- cess, with her family. Sophie Marie White, married with three kids, is a na ve of South Louisiana. She draws from her varied experiences as a film- maker, Director of Photography, Chiropractor, EMT, firefighter, race car driver, and boxing pro- moter to inspire her ac ng. She began ac ng a li le over a year ago and since was cast in several feature films including Humming- bird and We All Think We Are Special. Sophie was also cast in Tell Me Your Secrets and Chicago Med, in a guest-starring role, for television. I cannot thank Sophie's publicist, Barry Rogers, for introducing me to Sophie, and sugges ng her for an interview. It's a great inter- view, too, by the way, beginning on page 4. As usual there are many new and interes ng features in this issue along with our regular col- umnists, Tony Guadagnino, who is doing is last installment of his "Gay Icons" series, and Lee Lynch, with her Amazon Trail column. Joey Amato is back, too, with an adventure to Columbus, Ohio! You don't want to miss that ei- ther. I hope you all have a great month, and we'll see you in December!
