B-6 Sports Wednesday, October 9, 2019 The Press-Dispatch Pike Central seniors three- peat as Powder Puff champs By Dennis Marshall Press-Dispatch Sports Editor sports@pressdispatch.net Pike Central High School held its annual Powder Puff football game on Wednes- day, Oct. 2. The Chargers' seniors won the battle of classes af- ter defeating the juniors 12- 6 in the championship game. This class of seniors al- so won the Powder Puff title when they were sophomores and juniors. The seniors defeated the sophomores 16 -0 and the ju- niors beat the freshmen 22- 8 in the first round games. The freshman won 8 -0 against the sophomores in the consolation game. This was the 16th consec- utive year that Pike Central held Powder Puff games. The event is sponsored by the Student Government each year and all proceeds go towards the Riley Dance Marathon.
