It is hard to believe we are so far along in the year already. Time is buzzing by fast. I hope you all are enjoying your summer and crea ng special memories that will endure through the upcom- ing winter months! This month's feature is well, yours truly, and my book, "Unre- dacted." I was cha ng with an acquaintance of mine about the book. I was telling him about some of the comments and ques- ons I was ge ng in response to its release in June. He thought it would be a great idea if I took some space in Diversity Rules Magazine to promote the book and actually answer some of the ques ons as well as address some of the comments I have been receiving. I was rather hesitant at first since I thought it might look self-pro mo ng and ego s cal to feature my own book on the cover. Then I thought about it, and said, "Why the hell not? It is my first book, and a huge accomplishment for me. If I don't promote my book and myself, who is going to?!" So, here we are, with my book as the feature in the August issue. I hope you enjoy my reflec ons on "Unredacted" and what it means to me. It is my hope that by reading it, it ins lls in you a sense of your purpose, and mis- sion in life, unfe ered by the skeletons of your past that al- ways ra le and shake to remind you that they are there, lurking in the darkness of your mind, to hold you back and stop you from moving forward with your lives. Don't let it happen! As usual there are other great features in this issue. Enjoy them, too, and see you in September! Diversity Rules Magazine PO Box 72 Oneonta, NY 13820 James R.
