All are welcome. Bring your children and worship the Lord. We had an amazing spir- it-filled service this past Sunday. "I will forgive their iniq- uity and their sin will I re- member no more" ( Jeremi- ah 31:34). There is no true possi- bility of true happiness until we have established friendship and fellowship with God. And their is no possibility of establishing this fellowship apart from the Cross of His Son, Je- sus Christ. God says, "I will forgive you, but I will fellowship with you only at the Cross." Why is this? Because only through Christ's death on the cross can we be forgiven and rec- onciled to God. This is why we must come to the Cross, repent- ing of our sins and trusting Christ alone to save us. Hu- man pride gets in the way. We don't want to admit we are sinners or that we are too weak to save ourselves. Only when we leave our pride at the Cross, can our hearts be open to God's re- deeming grace. If at any time you have no church to attend, feel free and join us for services. I am sure you will leave be- ing blessed. May God bless each and everyone. Jesus is alive. Jerry "Tuffy" Blackwell, Pastor Sharon Kendall, Report- er Mission Statement for 2018 New beginnings: What would Jesus do? We will strive to be more like Je- sus in all that we do. "In the last day, that great day of the feast, Je- sus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water" ( John 7:37- 38). Well hopefully it is, and the weather doesn't play anymore tricks on us. But pretty soon the old cold and dreary weather will be behind us, snow will be a memory, and new life will start to form. The sunshine and warmth will give way to plants rising up from the ground. And it is then we will be reminded once again light gives way to beauty. Here at the First Christian Church we are in a sermon series on the Gospel of John. We are reminded time and time again that through Je- sus we have streams of liv- ing water. The Bible also says in these streams of liv- ing water, when we come in- to Christ, the old has passed away and the new has come (II Corinth. 5:17). Let this coming spring be a reminder that in Je- sus, the baggage, burdens VINCENT CHRISTIAN CHURCH 8264 E.
