Wall, admired the Terracotta Army, and gazed with reverence at the palatial Forbidden City. With fantastic local fare to boot, it was a week that will long resonate with me. All the while, though, I couldn���t help but think about what lay ahead across the Pacific: springtime in Chicago. The Cubs head south for training, while retailers like 900 North Michigan Shops and The Shops at North Bridge swap out scarves and mittens for flip-flops and tees. Simply put, the city shines as Chicagoans seamlessly transition from festive cheer to warm-weather revelry. What better way to jump-start the season than with a cover subject of the highest critical and commercial acclaim? I grew up idolizing Harrison Ford���what boy hasn���t dreamed of piloting the Millennium Falcon at some point?���and to have the iconic star of Indiana Jones, The Fugitive (filmed in Chicago), and other classic flicks cover our Spring Fashion issue is an absolute honor. It���s a complete delight to once again work with the foundation���s Grammy-awardwinning namesake Common, who covered our October 2011 edition. And, of course, it���s always nice to put up one���s feet every so often: Join us in March for our (fine) arts and craft (beer) culinary celebration hosted by Infiniti. It���s sure to be a festive night, and yet another reason to be enthused for this season.
