The Press-Dispatch Church Wednesday, March 13, 2019 C- 3 RAMBLINGS Continued from page 1 Continued in next column Continued in next column Continued from page 2 Pentecostal Methodist Another of his topics was about partnering with other clubs and communi- cation with one another. Without communication you won't know who needs help or what is available as help. This communication goes far in our daily lives because we need to com- municate with one anoth- er for better relationships. Rhett's wife is one of the In- ternational Directors and she is a motivational speak- er who brings great points laced with humor which drives home her points. She was a blessing to listen to. We had another good lesson about the Holy Spir- it guiding and directing us from harm and to keep us from going wrong. We have to listen to the Spirit and of- ten when we fail to listen we stray from where we should be. The sermon was about not letting your past dic- tate your walk with Jesus. It is too easy to feel unwor- thy and give up. C.S. Lew- is said you can't go back to change your beginning, but you can start where you are now and change your fu- ture. Lots of people allow their past to make them feel unworthy when their sins have been forgotten by God after forgiveness. So we should move away from our pasts and develop our futures. Well enough preach- ing because it's time to go out into the world and love one another. See you next week. Independent GLEZEN REVIVAL CENTER 245 S. Glezen Center St. 812-354-6738 or 812-582-9667 Sunday morning worship and children's church 10 :15 a.m.; see our Facebook for Youth Group Hearts on Fire meeting times. Be the Example "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an ex- ample for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity" (1 Timothy 4:12, NIV ). This scripture reminds us as Christians, whether we are new born or expe- rienced, that we must set the example for those who are lost. This is not always an easy task, because even though we are children of God, we are human just like everyone else. We need to remember that Jesus is with us every step of the way, giv- ing us strength to combat the flesh, so that we may be a shining example of what it means to be a child of God. God bless you and keep you. We welcome you to all services. Come and wor- ship Jesus with us. See our Facebook page Glezen Revival Center. If a person chooses to believe the Word of God (Bible), they can be saved, healed, delivered, filled with the power of the Holy Spir- it, and see mighty moves of God in their life. If a per- son chooses not to believe what God says in His Word, then that person can receive nothing from God. Eagles are fascinating creatures and often used in the Bible to describe or explain something. There comes a time in the eagle family where father eagle circles the nest, as moth- er has decided it is time for her chicks to fly. She nudg- es them out and if they do not spread their wings, the father zooms in and catch- es them on his back. If they are reluctant to leave the nest, mother removes part of the padding so they are not so comfortable. But, as with all creatures, there is usually one that refuses to move. This nester sits with his wings folded. The sad part is eventually he is left behind while the rest soar with the father. Getting out of the nest is scary, but soaring with the Father is worth it. Besides, He'll catch you if He needs to. Ron Vickers, Pastor Elaine Young, Reporter, 1- 812-749 -1122 (leave a mes- sage).
