Friday, March 15: Cheesy breadsticks or pepperoni sticks both with crinkle cut fries and tossed salad. Monday, March 18: Chick- en sandwich or spicy chick- en sandwich both with broc- coli and cheese and waffle fires. Tuesday, March 19: BBQ rib sandwich or mini corn dogs served with seasoned steak fries and Antiqua blend veggies. Wednesday, March 20 : Cheese quesadilla or chick- en quesadilla served with tater tots, refried beans and Santa Fe Blend veggies. Menu subject to change. Milk choices offered daily. Assorted fruits and veggies offered daily. PCMS Evo Ozobot Pike Central Middle School students got to ex- periment with Evo Ozobot through Tryazon. The Ozo- bot teaches students about color codes, teaches basic STEAM skills and critical thinking. Tryazon only se- lected 100 educators, and Pike Central Middle school was selected to participate and have the opportunity to try the robot and keep the product. PCMS AR Escape Room Jana Yon's eighth grade top AR students participat- ed in the Escape Room at Pike Central Middle School. Instructions students were given. You and your col- leagues discover that Dr. Johnson has plans to un- leash a deadly airborne vi- rus that would turn anyone who came into contact with it into a zombie. However, you also learn that the doc- tor has created an antidote that can reverse the symp- toms. He plans to save it for himself and family. Do you have what it takes to save the world? Petersburg Elementary MENU Thursday, March 14: Shamrock chicken nug- gets, sweet potato fries, baked beans and fruit. Friday, March 15: Fish nuggets, tater tots, but- tered corn and fruit. Monday, March 18: Pep- peroni pizza, garden salad, broccoli florets, breadstick, marinara sauce and fruit. Tuesday, March 19: Beef and cheese nachos, salsa, shredded romaine, baby carrots and fruit. Wednesday, March 20 : Chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, Califor- nia blend and fruit. CALENDER March Early Release dates – 13 and 20 March 11-22 – I-READ 3 testing. I-READ is an eval- uation of reading skills for students in third grade. March 14 – Students and staff wear their red "be" shirts March 15 – Kindergar- ten Pancake and Pajama Day Mrs. DeCoursey and the fifth grade teachers will be taking our fifth grade stu- dents to experience the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra. Report Cards sent home March 19 – Mr. Ash- worth band director for Pike Central will be here at 1 p.m. to talk to the fifth grade students about band. March 18 -22 – Book Fair! Students will be visiting the Book Fair during their regular library time. The book fair will be open for families during the evening of the Spring Program. March 21 – Spring Pro- gram for grades K-2. Per- formance times are as fol- lows: Kindergarten 6:30 p.m.; Grade 1 7 p.m.; Grade 2 7:30 p.m. Students should be in their classrooms 15 min- utes before their program starts. Doors open at 6 March 25 -29 – Spring Break-School will not be in session! Have fun! April 1 – First day back to school after spring break LOOKING AHEAD • Fifth grade band, will be having a parent's meet- ing for those fifth graders interested in band at PCHS Auditorium and the instru- ment "try-on". That will be sometime in April at the High School in the band room. • Kindergarten round- up for kids who will be 5 by August 1, is on April 4 and 5 and we will be having Pre- School screenings for kids who will be four by August 1, on April 12. Information will be sent home and it will be in the paper. • Fourth graders need to continue working on their science fair projects. Sci- ence Fair April 9 and 11.
