It was so restful to allow the water to move me around wherever the wind blew. I find that my relationship with God is like that. The more I trust (relax) in Him, the more He is able to support me. Just like when I was floating in the water, moving where the waves took me, God has control to move me where He wants me. When I trust Him and know that He's 'got me,' and that I'm safe with Him and in Him, I can allow the waves of His Holy Spirit to direct my course in life...Just relax. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take" (Proverbs 3:5 - 6). Have you ever felt the urge to pray for someone and then just put it on a list and said "I'll pray for them later? " Or has any- one ever called you and said, "I need you to pray for me. I have this need? " A missionary on Furlough told this true story. "While serving at a small field hos- pital in A frica, every two weeks, I traveled by bicycle through the jungle to a near- by city for supplies. Upon ar- rival in the city, I observed two men fighting, one of whom had been serious- ly injured. I treated him for his injuries and at the same time talked to him about the Lord." "I then traveled home without incident. Two weeks later, I repeated my jour- ney. Upon arriving in the city, I was approached by the young man I had treat- ed. He told me that he had known I carried money and medicines. The friend said, "you won't believe this, it was morning here and I was preparing to go play golf. I was about to putt when I felt the urge to pray for you. In fact, the urging of the Lord was so strong, I called men in this church to meet with me here in the sanctuary to pray for you. There were 26." This story is an incredible example of how the Spirit of the Lord moves in mysteri- ous ways. If you ever hear such prodding, go along with it. If we all take it to heart, we can turn this world to- ward God once again. As the above true story clearly illus- trates, "with God all things are possible."
