Reller, 87, of Huntingburg, passed away at 10 :08 p.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2018, at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper. She was born January 23, 1931, in Huntingburg, to William J. and Erma K. (Miller) Kaetzel. She mar- ried Leo R. Reller on Sep- tember 29, 1956, in Hunt- ingburg. She worked as a book- keeper for Dr. Williams as a payroll clerk for Farbest Foods, as co-owner of Rel- ler Jewelers in Huntingburg for 35 years, and as a jewelry sales associate at Carsons. She was a member of the Huntingburg High School Class of 1950, St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Stendal, and was past president of the Huntingburg Business and Professional Women. She is survived by two children, Glenda ( James) Nugent, of Huntingburg, and Keith (Cheryl) Reller, of Prospect, Ky.; one broth- er-in-law, Ralph William Katterhenry, of Florissant, Mo.; six grandchildren, Jus- tin Neal, of Montgomery, Ala., Cameron Harris, of Jasper, Whitney Chamber- lain, of Huntingburg, Ty- ler Reller, of Oxford, Miss., Braxton Reller, of Prospect, Ky., and Luke Durcholz, of Huntingburg; and by four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo R. Reller, who passed away on December 6, 2017; and two sisters, Louella Katter- henry, and infant Dorothy Kaetzel. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, De- cember 6, 2018, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Stendal, with Pastor Ed Wicks offi- ciating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg. Visitation will be from 2- 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg and also from 9 a.m. until service time at the church. MARY JANE ULMET Mary Jane Ulmet, 76, passed away on Sunday, De- cember 2, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Verner and Susan Powell Gray, of Pike County. She attended Blooming- ton First Church of the Naz- arene and was an Indiana Farm Bureau member for 59 years. She worked at RCA for many years. She also de- lighted in being a grand- mother and loved holding babies. She is survived by her children, Verner Ulmet, of Bloomington, Thomas (Mary)Ulmet, of Bloom- ington, and Marvin ( Jenni- fer) Ulmet, of Ellettsvillle; grandchildren, Justice, Au- tum, Marvel, Addilyn, Gar- rison and Rhys; siblings, Jer- aldine ( Virgil "Wayne") My- ers, of Otwell, Jim (Mary) Gray, of Francisco, Kathleen (Fred) Hanebutt, of Hunt- ingburg, Bill (Martha) Gray, of Evansville, Bob (Rose) Gray, of Washington, Mar- tha Kays, of Oakland City, and John (Mary) Gray, of Ot- well; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ken- neth C. Ulmet. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, De- cember 8, 2018, at Valhalla Memory Gardens in Bloom- ington. A celebration of Life ser- vice will be after the burial at 1 p.m. at the Ellettsville Christian Church. Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the Alzheimer's Association. DEB BUECHLEIN Arretis "Deb" Campbell Buechlein, 90, of Hunting- burg, passed away on No- vember 25, 2018, at Hunt- ingburg. She was born in Otwell on June 11, 1928, to Del- bert "Shorty" Campbell and Mayme Teague Campbell. She married Frank Buec- hlein, Jr. on April 10, 1943. He died on December 8, 1998. She and Frank lived at Beaver Lake for many years and enjoyed fishing, snow- mobiling, boat riding and raising animals. She worked for many years as a seam- stress in Jasper. Surviving are a son, Ron R. Buechlein, of Velpen; a daughter, Sandra (Glenn) Eckert, of Huntingburg; one grandson, Bob (Ashton) Buechlein; granddaughters, Dawn ( Jay) Giesler and Me- linda McCarty (companion John) and Deann Achbach (companion Brad); several great-grandchildren; broth- er, Paul (Mary) Campbell, of Englewood, Fla.; and sever- al nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Darrell Buec- hlein; and two sisters, Betty Winkler and Maleta Knebel. Indiana Funeral Care is in charge of the arrangements, and there will be no visita- tion, Burial will be at a lat- er date. R AEANNA H. HARRIS Raeanna H. Harris, 74, of Velpen, passed away on Fri- day morning, November 30, 2018, at her home in Velpen. She was born October 24, 1944, in Huntingburg, to Leonard and Bertha ( Jones) Kays. She formerly worked at Styline Corporation, was a member of the Hunting- burg Fraternal Order of Ea- gles, and enjoyed watching sports and painting. She is survived by four children, Lowell Harris, Jr., of Velpen, Billy J. Harris, of Augusta, Barbara A. Kend- all, of Velpen, and Alisha D. Wolfe, of Velpen; two sisters, Marilyn Woodall, of Eustis, Fla., and Alberta Gail Held- man, of Jasper; 15 grandchil- dren; 12 great-grandchil- dren; and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Low- ell E. Harris, Sr., who passed away on March 13, 2013; and four sisters, Rosie Under- wood, Wilma Jean Uppen- camp, Evelyn Spencer and Stella Foerster. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. on Monday, Decem- ber 3, 2018, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Hunt- ingburg. Burial followed at Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg. Visitation was from noon until service time on Mon- day at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the funeral home to as- sist with burial expenses. Schmitt, 70, of Washington, passed away at 9:06 a.m. on Tues- day, November 27, 2018, at Brookside Village in Jasper. He was born February 23, 1948, in Ireland, to Frank J. and Ruth A. (Lechner) Schmitt. He graduated from Hunt- ingburg High School in 1966 and went on to serve our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He owned and operat- ed Velpen Trucking and Dis- posal Company for 20 years. His hobbies included fish- ing, spending time with his grandchildren, spending time outdoors and going to the casino. He is survived by his fa- ther, Frank Schmitt; chil- dren, Justin Bryant, of Philadelphia, Pa., Michael Schmitt, of Evansville, Chris (Sarah) Schmitt, of Holland, Jennifer (Matt) Werner, of Ireland, and Alissa (Ry- an) Haaff, of Ireland; sister, Mary Beth (Tom) Vogler, of Ireland; brothers, Norbert (Phyllis) Schmitt, of Hunt- ingburg, and Danny (Sher- ry) Schmitt, of Velpen; and 10 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Schmitt; sister, Karen Sue Schmitt; and brother, Mark Schmitt. A Celebration of Life was from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, November 30, 2018, at St. Mary's Community Center/ Cafeteria in Ireland. She was born March 12, 1934, in Gibson County, to Robert and Agnes White- house. She worked for many years as a meat cutter at Emge Packing Plant in Ft. Branch. She is survived by her daughter, Susan ( William) Zenthofer, of Petersburg; grandson, David Zenthofer; brother, Frank (Carolyn) Whitehouse; sister-in-law, Thelma Whitehouse; two nephews; one niece; their spouses; and six great-nieces. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Gus Ropp; her parents; and broth- er, Oscar Whitehouse. Services were at 2 p.m. EST on Monday, Dec. 3, 2018, at Harris Funeral Home in Pe- tersburg, with Pastor Mike Ferguson officiating. Burial followed at Walnut Hills Cem- etery. NANCY LOU TR AYLOR Nancy Lou Traylor, 84, passed away at 7:55 p.m. on November 27, 2018, at the Villages of Oakridge. She was born on Decem- ber 6, 1933, in Winslow, the daughter of Lawrence and Mary (Garland) Meadors. She married Ralph E. Tray- lor in August of 1955, and he preceded her in death in Au- gust of 2003. She was a 1951 graduate of Otwell High School and was a long-time member of the First Christian Church in Washington. She loved spending time with her fami- ly and enjoyed cooking, bak- ing and quilting. Survivors include her sons, Rusty ( Janice) Traylor, of Washington, and Wesley (Melissa) Traylor, of St. Jo- seph, Mich.; four grandchil- dren; three great-grandchil- dren; and brother, George ( Violet) Thomas Meadors, of Otwell. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph E. Traylor; and sisters, Laverne Buch- ta and Voris Breidenbaugh. Funeral services were at 3 p.m., Saturday, Decem- ber 1, 2018, Goodwin-Siev- ers Funeral Home, with Bro. Byron Holtsclaw officiating. Interment followed in Beth- el Cemetery.
