The Press-Dispatch Church Wednesday, October 10, 2018 C- 3 RAMBLINGS Continued from page 1 Continued in next column Continued from page 2 Continued on page C-9 ness to be trusted by God. God chose to work with Noah and his family in- stead of starting all over which shows us God can and does work with us in- stead of doing things for us. Our strength and patience come from His trust in us. The scripture lesson was about another man who had a sordid past of tormenting Christians and making their life as miser- able as possible but when God was done working with him he was extremely faithful. Paul was a Roman as well as a Hebrew and as such was allowed to be be- headed rather than be cru- cified (great choice huh). He knew his time was short and he told Timothy that he had fought a good fight or rather he had kept the faith and that he was ready or he was prayed up and paid up with his sins covered by the blood of Jesus. Unlike Paul we can't say when our time is up so we are to be ready at all times. Keep your life mov- ing forward toward heav- en's gates. Keep the devil from your life and when he does approach tell him to leave you alone. Never let your sins go, take them to Jesus and stay on the ready. Let us seek God so we can be a blessing and seek your own blessings from God. Independent Pentecostal Presbyterian Lutheran OCTOBER 21-24 7:00 P.M.
