Trust in His Path "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." (Proverbs 3:5 -6, NIV ). Sometimes the only thing that you can do about a situa- tion is trust God. This verse helps to remind us that this is all we have to do as children of God. Also, this scripture stands as one of the found- ing pillars of our relation- ship with Christ Jesus. Re- membering that God knows all, trusting him, and not re- lying on our own mind and judgement sounds easy. But this can be one of the most difficult things for a person to do. By giving God the control and following him, the Lord can lead you down the path in which you should go and light your way so that you will not be in darkness or alone. When fighting fear, de- pression, anxiety or even an- ger, take a moment and lift that issue to the Father and trust that he will take care of it and show you what you should do. All of these things can be solved by him and him alone. So remember, trust the Lord and he will show you the way meant for you. God bless you and keep you. See our Facebook page JESUS CHRIST OUR FIRM FOUNDATION On the corner of Sixth and Walnut Petersburg 812-354-4424 or 812-582-0240 Sunday morning fellow- ship 10 a.m.; Bible studies: Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. at Brian Eilert's house and Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. at church. "And the smoke of the in- cense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel's hand" (Revelations 8:4). Prayer is communication with God. When our prayer is in agreement with His Word it's a sweet smelling aroma. "Lord, I lift my un- saved loved one to You and ask that You bring them to a place of repentance. Be- cause I know that You wish for none to perish, but that all should come to repen- tance. I claim it. In Jesus LIVING FAITH CHURCH INTERNATIONAL 718 E. "Then spake Jesus again unto them saying, I am the light of the world: he that fol- loweth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life" ( John 8:12). A minister went into a back- woods settlement to conduct a meeting, and had to return late on a dark night. A woods- man provided him with a torch of pitchpine wood. The minister having never seen anything of the kind said, "It will soon burn out." "It will light you home," re- plied the woodsman. "The wind may blow it out," remarked the preacher. "It will light you home," was the answer the second time. "But what if it should rain? " "It will light you home," came the reassuring reply. Contrary to the minster's fears, the torch did last him all the way home. The Word of God is a torch for a dark world, given into the hand of each of us, not only to light our way, but to guide others, also. What if it rains? What if the wind blows? What if the fires of persecution should come? IT WILL LIGHT THE WAY HOME. Chad Searls, Pastor UNION COMMUNITY CHURCH 3082 N.
