Patricia Davies Clarkson was born December 29, 1959 in New Orleans, Louisi- ana. She is one of five sisters. Clarkson attended O. Perry Walker High School. She studied speech pathology at Louisiana State University before transferring to Ford- ham University, where she graduated summa cum laude with a degree in drama. She also earned her Master of Fine Arts at the Yale School of Drama. When she was 27, Clark- son made her film debut in "The Untouchables" (1987) as the wife of Eliot Ness, played by Kevin Costner. In 2003, she won a Special Jury Prize for her work in four films that debuted at the Sundance Film Festival: "All the Real Girls," "The Baroness and the Pig," "The Station Agent" and "Pieces of April." She was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in "Pieces of April." She won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series in 2002 and 2006 for her role as Sarah O'Connor in HBO's "Six Feet Under." Clarkson appeared in the "Saturday Night Live" digital short "Motherlover" with Susan Sarandon, Andy Sam- berg and Justin Timberlake on May 9, 2009. She reprised the role on May 21, 2011 in the digital short "3-Way (The Golden Rule)." She played Ron Swanson's first wife, Tammy One, in the NBC mockumentary "Parks and Recreation."
